City-dwellers, there’s now another reason to hit up Andaz Singapore for a much needed staycation. Yes, beyond its current line-up of gastronomic fare — from local delights to Japanese teppanyaki bites, a new gem has emerged on level 25. Eponymously named 5 ON 25, this is the hotel’s latest modern Cantonese restaurant.

Helmed by head chef Lim Hong Lih with 20 over years of Chinese fine-dining experience under his belt, each dish will sure to tickle your tastebuds and bring you on a resplendent journey rediscovering your five taste senses, with an emphasis on fresh and sustainable seafood. For drinks, 5 ON 25 offers both extensive tea and wine selections. It’s led by tea sommelier Li Guanyi, whose travels have armed her with a global and highly sought after affinity with curating tea blends, and sommelier Helen Chong, the duo has a carefully curated tea and wine pairing menu specially designed to complement the restaurant’s offerings.

Of course, the ambience of the place is not to be forgotten. Internationally acclaimed architect André Fu returned and took the reins for this project, transforming the space into a modern upscale setting – a sophisticated mix of romance and nostalgia. Having previously spearheaded the design of Andaz Singapore back in 2017, 5 ON 25 sees his artistry manifested in a modern take on the classic Chinese supper club. It’s moody, it’s nostalgic — the space evokes the old-world charm of Singapore in the 1950s with rich colours, textured velvet, and warm timber hues. Not forgetting, the breathtaking view of our cityscape. Safe to say, we know where we’re bringing the fam around for a reunion dinner.

5 ON 25 will officially open its doors on 10 January 2022.
