Finding plus-size activewear is a struggle, and too often you’ve spent a bomb only to be let down by supposed ‘curve-friendly’ exercise fits. But more and more brands have been stepping up to the body inclusivity movement, and expanding their range to include diverse sizing, because everyone deserves colourful and hella cute workout clothes that accentuate their curves. So to all our curvy girls out there, this one’s for you – here’s a shortlist of our favourite brands that holds you in so that you can get through your next sweat sesh both in style and comfort.

ASOS 4505 Curve

4505 is ASOS’ very own line of activewear, and a clever play on the brand’s name. Like ASOS, 4505 is deliciously up-to-date with the latest fashion trends like lavender legging/bra top sets for your next spin class uniform. Trendy sets aside, 4505 also has a range of athleisure tops like flowy racerbacks to throw on post-workouts, and even swimsuits that snatch you in the waist. So no matter what sweat sesh you choose; be it a HIIT or recovery swim, you’ll be able to cart out your next exercise wardrobe together with your next ASOS order (yes, we know you already have some items in your wishlist).

Lululemon

Lululemon needs no introduction. Highly sought after and raved about, their leggings are probably one of the best in the market. Buttery smooth but yet managing to hold you in snugly (and still able to breath) we could not be happier that Lululemon eventually came on board the curve-friendly movement and expanded their sizing to now include sizes 0 to 20. Definitely worth the splurge, their leggings bring you seamlessly from workout to errands to loungewear because it’s just that comfortable.

Lorna Jane

Though she made headlines in 2016 for not wanting to stock plus-size for the curvier girls, it looks like the Australian activewear queen had a change of heart in recent years. Beloved for their feminine take on designing activewear that doesn’t compromise function nor style, we especially love their seamless collection and the V cutting on the booty – which really snatches in all the right places for bubble butt vibes. Now with the brand’s expanded sizing range and inclusion of bigger girls on their social media platforms, we stan the brand even more.

Gym Wear Movement

We love a #supportlocal moment, and Gym Wear Movement has more than earned their stripes in becoming a beloved local activewear brand. Born out of a mission to inspire women to move but feel joyful while doing so, Gym Wear Movement designed a line with inclusive sizing and carefully selected fabrics to best see us through the Singapore heat. Best of all, it was designed with Asian women in mind, to suit our unique body shapes and accentuate us in all the right places. With light compression, it helps hold our pooches in while sweating it out, so you can relax and just focus on the workout at hand – God knows we need all the mental fortitude we can get.

F brand

Another activewear brand based in Singapore, F Brand offers inclusive sizing for both men and women, with their sizing going up to XXL. Made with lightweight and breathable fabrics, they offer a variety of activewear, ranging from high compression leggings to flowy tanks to suit whichever workout you choose. We especially like their Go For The Rough shorts, which are slightly longer than your average bike short, but shorter than a ¾ legging – providing the extra coverage for comfort and ease of mind.
