1. Lisa has teamed up with M.A.C. Cosmetics to release a special range of makeup products.
It seems the rapper, dancer, and singer multi-hyphenate has expanded into product development since being named M.A.C.’s Global Brand Ambassador in 2020. This year brings forth the arrival of #MACLovesLisa; a collection comprising a curation of liquid lipsticks, highlighters, blushes, eyeliners, and more created by the woman of the hour. While no release date has been confirmed just yet, Lisa has assured fans that the goods will be available soon — and that it’ll be something to look forward to. We can’t say we disagree.

2. Billie Eilish has created her very own perfume.
The aptly titled ‘Eilish’ has been described as a perfect amalgamation of “sweet, musky, fruity, and woodsy.” This can be credited to its inclusion of vanilla and amber; a potent combination that was supposedly inspired by human bodies. According to an interview with Allure, Eilish claims that was done to foster a sense of intimacy between the wearer and the people around them. “I’ve always been infatuated by necks and collarbones and back muscles and shoulders and armpits. I’ve always thought they were really beautiful,” she explains. “I wanted to accentuate that beauty without making it about [sexualising bodies].” Fans will be able to get their paws on the fragrance come November via the singer’s official site. Fastest fingers win, so be sure to get your digits warmed-up well before that.

3. Kanye West commemorates his new name by giving himself an extreme haircut.
A buzzcut, to be exact, depicting what appears to be abstract tire marks on his bare scalp. This was done after West had been granted the right to change his name to Ye; a decision that, much like his new hairdo, baffled fans and skeptics alike. Speculations are rife that his new look is credited to hair loss, or perhaps the work of his daughter, North, who possibly went ham at his head with a pair of clippers. Either way, it seems it’s unlikely we’ll be getting an explanation from West any time soon. We’ll just enjoy the view in the meantime…?

4. Beauty YouTuber, Nikita Dragun, has wiped her Instagram clean.
The uncharacteristic move was followed by a cryptic video which began with a title card that said “R.I.P. Nikita Dragun.” She later clarified in a caption that this was a time of rebirth for her, in every sense of the word. “I need to lay to rest an old chapter of my life in order to birth a new one. One filled with gratitude, humility, and the valuable lessons learned from past mistakes,” she wrote. “I have given so much focus to my external transformation, and now it is time to focus on my internal transformation. To pause everything and do the work to take care of myself mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I am thrilled to step into this new era together!” Will we know what this signifies, exactly? Time will tell, we suppose.

5. Emma Raducanu is Dior Beauty’s latest ambassador.
This decision comes as no surprise considering how the British tennis player has been garnering accolades both off- and on the court. Not only did she win her first Open tournament without losing any sets, she has also recently scored a partnership with Tiffany & Co., where she’s been spotted donning their pieces during and beyond matches. Keep your eyes peeled for when she makes her debut appearance in upcoming Dior campaigns and ads.

6. Toni Braxton has launched a vegan body care line.
The decision to do so stemmed from her inability to find products suited to her skin as a woman of colour. And so, the singer created Nude Sugar; a vegan label comprising goods in the vein of foaming shower gels, body lotions, hair mists, serums, and more. In an interview with The Cut, Braxton compared her body to a Maybach, claiming that her offerings are what keeps it shiny, clean, and in the shop. Uh, word?
