Chinese actor Yang Yang is the fresh-faced ambassador for Montblanc
Don't write him off as another dime a dozen pretty boy because Yang Yang is apparently one to watch in the Chinese entertainment industry. At 26 years young, the lad is not only an award-winning actor with a fanbase that could form its own country; he had also represented China as the torchbearer at Athens during the Rio Olympics. With his star on the rise, it would seem an ambassadorship was inevitable and 'lo and behold, Yang is now the new face of Montblanc.
Formally inducted at the global launch of Montblanc's reinvented Star Legacy collection on the occasion of the watch's 20th anniversary, Yang embodies the maison's latest ethos, 'A New Code of Manhood', which celebrates versatility, timelessness and excellence in haute horlogerie. Seen to tread alongside these values with his elegant mannerisms, charm, energy and confidence, the actor is posited to be a cultural icon for the millennial generation, and is the touchstone for the brand going forward with the iconic Star Legacy timepieces.
On the collection and his new role, Yang elaborates: "I can see Montblanc's endless pursuit of fine watchmaking craftsmanship, precision and performance in the Star Legacy novelties," he said. "This spirit is also the lighthouse along my acting career path. I will never stop chasing the best in every role and every shot, constantly honing skills to deliver the finest performance. If I rigorously push my own standards, achievement will come by itself."
