Taiwanese actor Wallace Huo parlays his fame into Officine Panerai’s ambassador for the Greater China region

Brand ambassadorship is a pretty lofty position, so it's certainly one for the record books when Officine Panerai rolled out the red carpet to welcome a celebrity representative into their midst. Enter Wallace Huo as the maison's new face, with unfairly symmetrical good looks beloved by the public. Recognised for his turns in numerous Chinese movies and dramas, the actor not only has an extensive reach across Greater China and Southeast Asia but also has remained genuine and down-to-earth in spite of his fame — qualities that resonated with Panerai's core values of quality, authenticity and passion.

In his new role as the house's official rep, Huo took time out to visit Florence, the home of Panerai, where he embarked on an Italian-themed exploration tasting wines and truffles, and driving through the grounds of a Florentine villa, among other things. One of his stops was at the Museo Galileo, Italy's premier institute for advanced research that additionally doubles up as a library with materials on all things science and technology — so named as its chief inspiration is one of humanity's greatest minds, Galileo Galilei. As Huo takes in the marvel of innovation and creation, he sports the Panerai Luminor 1950 Equation of Time 8 Days GMT Titanio, putting into perspective the art of watchmaking and the maison's deeply rooted values for excellence.
