In a global first for the brand, Tissot introduces a new digital façade that entreats customers to enter its MBS boutique to discover the watchmaker’s tradition of innovation

It's not exactly a re-branding, but the revitalisation of Tissot's storefront at Marina Bay Sands is a nod to the digital era the millennials (and pretty much all of Singapore's tech savvy folks) will approve of. Unveiling a dynamic digital display framing its entrance, this innovative element is the first step through which customers will be taken on a visual path to discover Tissot's tradition of innovation. Between the façade flashing from the manufacture in Le Locle, Switzerland to the peaks of the Jura Mountains bordering its birth city, these images pay homage to the brand's origins and reflect the attention to detail accorded by the maison's watchmakers — a custom put into practice at the new boutique.

Evident from the signature showcase safe at the far end of the store that's modelled after the T-Touch Expert Solar (which your gaze will immediately cut to once you're past the digital façade), touches of the brand's aesthetic can be seen throughout the boutique. Exhibition cases further display Tissot's wide range of offerings; there are sports, classic, feminine, and technological collections to meet every need and want. In another tribute to its storied legacy, a wall of framed photos highlights the history of its famous Visodate watch, Tissot's '50s icon that inspired the new Heritage Visodate Quartz collection concurrently launched with the boutique's revamp.

A modern take on one of its most classic novelties, the 8-piece collection is designed for everyday wear while throwing back to a vintage look with the historical Tissot logo on the dial, along with faceted hands and indices. The 40mm case and the horns are also true to the original model (shoutout to the piece with the aged patina look), elevated by either a Milanese or leather strap for a stylish edge. Exclusively previewed at the refurbished MBS boutique until 23 August, this here is where dynamism meets nostalgia.
