The MB&F HMX Black Badger in a new light
Sublime and supercharged
For their 10th anniversary, Swiss innovators MB&F together with designer James Thompson delivered the HMX Black Badger, an automatic winding watch that engulfed one's wrist when worn. It was a mini-machine, fastened with broad-cut leather straps just shy of it's 44.3mm width — a timepiece that decidedly lacked MB&F's usual finesse.
Calling on Thompson once again specifically for his lume expertise, the duo of visionaries have proven to give the HMX Black Badger a revolutionary afterthought. Reimagining the timepiece as a sleek prowler of the night, the designer placed blocks of his high-efficiency lume under its futuristic sapphire crystal cover — in vivid blue, purple and green that pops against the low-key matte black case.
Not just good for its ultra-cool, refurbished looks, the 42 hour power reserve HMX Black Badger keeps track of time with a bold hours and minutes display that glows anytime of the day. Proving to be an after-hours companion guaranteed to light the way, behold the beacon of all future sundown shenanigans.
