See the Louis Vuitton Escale Spin Time outfitted for Only Watch 2017
Burn baby, burn
With an Only Watch track record that's going on its sixth year, you would think it'd be hard to stay original past the half-decade mark but Louis Vuitton (LV) has still got it. For 2017, the maison is bringing to the charity auction a unique Escale Spin Time that — pardon the pun — puts a new spin on this LV icon.
Enlivened by shades of orange, yellow and red, the aptly named 'Black & Fire' version is the lit AF cousin to the sophisticated cool blues the timepiece usually dons. Notably seen within its dial, the hand-painted cube hour markers reflect the warm colour scheme, which includes the central stylised globe shaded in an orange-red ombré. But even with its vibrant veneer, this Only Watch edition of the Escale Spin Time functions exactly like the non-tricked out model, powered by an automatic movement, the LV77 calibre - developed, assembled and QC-ed by La Fabrique de Temps Louis Vuitton. Finished with an eye-popping orange alligator strap, the 'Black & Fire' additionally comes with its own keepsake trunk in Ardoise Taiga leather, stamped with the same LV globe found on the dial. What with proceeds going to the Association Monégasque contre les Myopathies (AMM) in support of combating Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, this is a matched set worth shelling out for.
The Louis Vuitton 'Black & Fire' Escale Spin Time will go on auction on 11 November. To bid and learn more about Only Watch 2017, click here.
