Forget the ads of the past because IWC Schaffhausen, in collaboration with Google Spotlight Stories, has developed an interactive virtual reality campaign to immerse you in a new storytelling experience

You can now check riding off into the glorious Californian sunset in the Mojave Desert (with Bradley Cooper, if you so desire) off your bucketlist. Well, sort of. Made possible with virtual reality (VR) technology, this digital space is where IWC Schaffhausen has launched its new international omnichannel campaign, creating content that brings an interactive, immersive experience to the table.

Available on Google Spotlight Stories, which is the groundbreaking platform for interactive VR storytelling, the maison has collaborated with the forefront name in tech to leverage the technology into a 'choose your adventure' tale. Viewers will embark on a motorbike ride in the Mojave Desert, and they will make decisions along the way that will affect the outcome of the story. Working closely with Google to make the virtual journey as real as possible, the high level of interaction on the platform was produced using 360-degree filming technology where IWC collaborated with the VR specialists at Google HQ to do an on-location multi-day shoot. The campaign also marks the first time a live-action VR film with so much interactivity has been released on Google Spotlight Stories.

Any smartphone can access the VR campaign by downloading and installing the Google Spotlight Stories app. To go fully virtual however, you'll have to use a cardboard VR headset or a VR viewer like the Google Daydream. To start, just scan the QR code below:
