Iconic luxe: 40 years of the Bvlgari-Bvlgari collection
Bvlgari-Bvlgari first launched as Bvlgari Roma in 1975, a collection that personified the spirit of Rome. Its trademark was the logo in curved script, hugging the the inner setting of the coin-shaped emblem — reminiscent of an ancient Roman coin. As Bulgari celebrates 40 years of the heritage collection (which evolved into Bvlgari-Bvlgari in 1977), the original logo is reissued on the coin emblem which adorns certain pieces of the collection, and set off by gemstones (Carnelian, Malachite and Venus' gem) in hues that pay tribute to the holy stones cherished by the ancient Romans.
Apart from the coin pendants and emblems that decorate the necklaces and bracelets, Bulgari works the symbol of the collection's beginnings into designs inspired by the gentleman's signet ring.
