Edox celebrates 50 years of the iconic Hydro-Sub diving watch
When the Edox Hydro-Sub was first launched in 1965, it was the best diving watch of its time, boasting water resistance to 500 metres. Fast forward to the present and the Swiss watch manufacturer has given its iconic watch an update: The Edox Hydro-Sub North Pole Limited Edition is the first watch designed specifically for exploring the North Pole and freediving under the polar ice cap.
Created in conjunction with Christian Redl — better known as 'The Iceman' because he was one of the first to freedive beneath the polar ice cap — it comes with a special master lock that protects the crown from freezing brittle and affecting the inner mechanisms of the watch. Limited to only 350 pieces worldwide, this watch is definitely a study in sub-zero style.
