Bulgari makes movie magic with its Cinemagia High Jewellery collection
Lights, Camera, Jewellery!
Is Bulgari on a high jewellery roll? Yep, we definitely think so. After 2017's ultra-memorable Festa collection – who can forget those popsicle brooches and pepperoncini necklaces – the Italian powerhouse released Wild Pop in 2018 which was all about the crazy hazy 1980s.
This year Bulgari presents the Cinemagia High Jewellery collection and we're reeling from the sensory overload where fantasy, glamour and emotions collide.
Bulgari's storied history with cinema puts it in the company of over 40 films and their respective female leads. Foremost, its enduring affair with Elizabeth Taylor but Bulgari has also had also passionate dalliances with the likes of Audrey Hepburn, Anita Ekberg, Ingrid Bergman, Sharon Stone, and many more.
In addition, Bulgari as the official jeweller of the Tribeca Film Festival works with Tribeca Studios on highlighting exceptional women who are breaking boundaries and shattering cultural norms.
Other than the world's most iconic screen sirens, this extensive collection draws inspiration from a number of cinematic classics such as Alice In Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass, The Wizard Of Oz, Peter Pan, and Pinocchio. Even random things around a movie theatre such as candy and a bucket of popcorn were turned into high jewellery – how fun!
See the unparalleled ingenuity and artisanal craftsmanship that went into putting all those beautiful natural precious stones together and transforming them into timeless works of art. Well, we're not all filmmakers like Martin Scorsese, but we imagine that must be what it feels like to make an award-winning movie.
