Boucheron comes up with 70 ways to wear its Reflet watch
If a strap wardrobe wasn't a thing before, it certainly is now with Boucheron's Reflet collection. Having hit the seven-decade milestone, the maison has seen to it that its iconic jewellery timepiece is outfitted with an additional eight new bracelets, rounding the Reflet's style options to a whopping total of 70 straps — one for every year the classic watch has endured the test of time.
Presented in a multitude of colours, finishes and textures — so you can rock metallic rose gold one day and a bright coral ostrich leather for another — the straps are interchangable at the drop of a hat thanks to a clever, invisible clasp patented by the maison. With stylish choices that not only reflect one's individuality, the mind-boggling number of strap selections further emphasises the sophistication of the Reflet by highlighting the drapery-inspired frame (a nod to the textile-based parentage behind founder Frédéric Boucheron), as well as the sapphire cabochon crown that offsets the timepiece's geometrical lines.
Elegant and polished, there is also more to the Reflet than meets the eye. The timepiece is privy to a little secret hinted at via its name: When you blow gently on the glass, a hologram of the Vendôme column is revealed, printed on top of the hands as a tribute to Boucheron's reputation as Place Vendôme's first jeweller. So if it's a watch brimming with nuances that comes with the lion's share of style dilemmas to happily debate over — did we mention the watchcases are available in steel and yellow gold for even more case-strap combinations? — the Boucheron Reflet is the one that's got both in spades.
The Reflet collection is available at Boucheron boutiques.
