Anna Dello Russo’s capsule collection with Atelier Swarovski is pure Sicilian glamour
Atelier Swarovski has had many an amazing collaboration with both designers and fashion insiders over the years, but this capsule edit with Anna Dello Russo might just be the most fabulous one yet. Visually OTT more often than not, the fashion editor and front row regular has translated her insouciant sense of style into jewellery that cop a bit of that Sicilian royal aesthetic for a collection that's equal parts dramatic and regal.
Slipping on a piece is meant to transform you into a fairy tale princess, whether you choose your finery to sport ruby red or golden champagne crystals — the collection's two vivid colour options that compose a full parure, replete with an elaborate tiara. Four baroque brooches glittering with rocks of various cuts complete the picture, for a total of more than 1,800 crystals used to create the AdR x Swarovski edit.
Beyond the glitzy sophistication though, the collection ties in with Dello Russo's philanthropy project 'AdR Beyond Fashion', which seeks to create sustainability within the polymorphous fashion industry. To that end, the cherry that is on top of this collaboration is the one-of-a-kind headpiece designed by Gareth Pugh — a thing of feathers and 500 Swarovski crystals at the very top of this page — that has gone on auction, with all proceeds going to the enabling of young fashion talents of the future through the Swarovski Foundation Scholarship Program. So if it's a daring sense of elegance you identify with (or Dello Russo is simply your street style fashion muse), here's the collection in its entirety for you to ogle:
The Atelier Swarovski by Anna Dello Russo collection will be available in Swarovski stores from September, exclusively in Milan and Japan.
