Live that island life with Hublot’s new Spirit of Big Bang Blue
Go for code blue
If your idea of paradise is a stretch of land surrounded by the brilliant blue of an endless summer sky and the glittering sea, say... somewhere in the Mediterranean, then Hublot is right there with you. Delightfully basking in the heat with none other than a new Spirit of Big Bang Blue that captures the essence of summer, the maison is all about that 'beach, please' attitude presented in shades of (microblasted) blue and (polished) white.
Crafted in ceramic, the 42mm-sized watch rocks all the signature design elements of the recognisable Spirit of Big Bang range, such as the tonneau case and the six H-shaped screws positioned around the bezel. Within this frame rests a skeleton dial with a calendar display at the 4.30 mark, the visible minutiae of its clockwork fuelled by the renowned automatic chronograph HUB4700 movement. On the flipside is an equally unique open-worked caseback, which allows a close-up scrutiny of the movement's oscillating mass. It's also where the exclusivity of this piece is engraved with its limited edition number.
Finished with blue alligator straps stitched onto white rubber, this here isn't just any blue-coloured timepiece, it's meant to be a visual summons to set sail into the summer sun.
The Spirit of Big Bang Blue is produced in a limited run of 100 numbered pieces and is available exclusively at Hublot boutique.
