In a New York minute: The Tiffany & Co. Square Watch

Who said squares were boring? Tiffany & Co.’s new Square Watch proves it is anything but

Calendar alert: Everyone's favourite New York jeweller is turning 180 years old. And on this momentous milestone, Tiffany & Co. is celebrating its anniversary with a timepiece specially created for the occasion, which marks the return to in-house calibre manufacturing with a rare manual winding movement shaped in, you guessed it, a square.

Elegant and timeless, the new Tiffany Square Watch traces its patrimony to an archival 27mm square case from the 1920's. Updated with 2017 design codes that feature a remarkably thin profile refined with perfect proportions, the sleek beauty of the timepiece was honed by Tiffany's master craftsmen using time-honoured techniques acquired by the House over its 170 year long history. Combining horological expertise with Tiffany's legacy of utilising only the most superlative of materials, only 180 Square Watches are produced — the magic number to match the maison's 180th birthday, which is denoted on the caseback — making this limited run a hot New York minute for the collectors out there.

The limited edition Tiffany Square watch will be available at select stores worldwide from November.
