And born from this greatness is the HardWear collection by Tiffany & Co., a manifesto of that Big Apple spirit celebrating the urban soul and modern rebels. Fronted by the most famous rebel as she speaks out unscripted in the house's latest campaign, Lady Gaga embodies exactly the fierce femininity and spontaneity of this new jewellery series, right down to her NYC roots.
With inspiration drawn from a '70s unisex bracelet from Tiffany archives, HardWear is as strong as the woman who wears it, a bold individual who rocks couture in combination with street style. Undoubtedly pulling away from the glitzy side of New York, the collection explores the industrialism of the city with utilitarian shapes, prominently featured in chains and a lock and ball pendant. Fashioned with gauge links that affect a striking, dimensional look compared to the flatter silhouette of the original, the brand additionally reinterprets the lock and ball with an element of versatility that allows it to be detached and re-attached anywhere.
Signature pieces include a graduated chain necklace and a unique pair of triple drop earrings, among several other rings, pendants and necklaces in the collection. At once classy yet gritty, HardWear is slated to be a cult classic you'd never want to take off.
