The collab collections from Atelier Swarovski FW17 you will totally covet
Can a fashion designer turn out ace accessories when they're used to penning down clothes and shoes? If Atelier Swarovski has anything to say about it, it's a resounding heck yes. In a team-up of epic proportions, the brand is celebrating turning 10 years old with new fall collections that sees the atelier reuniting with long-term collaborator Christopher Kane, alongside the likes of fashion talents Paul Andrew, Jason Wu and the legendary Iris Apfel. Talk about a birthday bash that maxes out on the glitz factor. And even if your invitation to bling got lost in the mail somewhere, we're nutshelling it all so you can score a pretty piece or two no matter your sense of style:
ATELIER SWAROVSKI BY CHRISTOPHER KANE
It's a re-launch of an icon as the Christopher Kane redux works the classic 'Bolster' shape into four new colourways featuring Swarovski's unique Crystal Mesh expertise. The five-piece edit not only brings back past best sellers, but also boasts a cool, new single bracelet. Simple yet subtly glamorous. Bonus: (At least) two different ways to wear each piece.
ATELIER SWAROVSKI BY JASON WU
A veritable kaleidoscope of cut and colour is the leifmotif for this collection. Aptly named 'Mosaic', the second collab between Wu and the brand flaunts asymmetric beauty with stones of red, green, peach and silver creating a contemporary, mesmerising glamour. We say this is your red carpet parure, sorted.
ATELIER SWAROVSKI BY PAUL ANDREW
Love a bit of Art Deco in your bling? Then you'll go gaga over the geometric, Great Gatsby-esque pieces designed by Paul Andrew — who, by the way, was the recipient of 2016's CFDA Swarovski Award for Accessory Design. Which makes this domino-themed parure as gorgeous as it is legit. Though if you're looking to switch it up, another Andrew aesthetic is the Chandelier series, featuring faceted wing-shaped crystals to evoke a more organic feel.
ATELIER SWAROVSKI BY IRIS APFEL
Statement making and fun with a dash of quirky: All the keywords you need to rock Apfel's personal style. Mirroring the fashion dame's larger-than-life taste, 'Just Iris' is the manifestation of her signature whimsy, wrapped up in Swarovski Crystals and Pearls — some gleaming Scarabaeus Green, a newly developed finish. From layered necklaces and bracelets to oversized, embellished cuffs, this is 'part-gypsy and part-haute couture' chic.
The Atelier Swarovski FW17 collections will be available in selected Swarovski stores and independent retailers from September 2017.
