1. Tati Beauty announces their closure.
This comes as a shocking blow to the beauty sphere, seeing how the label’s eyeshadow palettes have garnered rave reviews since its release. Founder, Tati Westbrook, disclosed in a YouTube video that this was due to her ongoing lawsuit surrounding her other company, Halo Beauty — which specialises in vitamins and supplements. “We are no longer selling products online, and I say that with a heavy heart,” she stated.”I have loved creating this brand. I had huge goals, dreams, visions for the future.”

She then went on to add: “COVID-19 hit, and that definitely slowed things down; it slowed the whole world down. And then, of course, you guys are aware of outside litigation that really impacted my life in full. So that kind of T-boned everything, and here we are.” The brand has since refunded all orders.

2. Ariana Grande spills the tea on R.E.M. Beauty.
Firstly, the goods will be launching 12 November. Secondly, the first drop will entail lashes; liners; plumping glosses; lip stains; and an eyeshadow palette titled Midnight Shadows. Fans were treated to a sneak peek of the lip products as showcased via a gargantuan version wielded by Grande in a campaign image. How exciting, indeed. We recommend you get those credit card deets memorised in preparation for the actual launch date.

3. Rihanna is now sporting blonde tresses.
It’s been a hot minute since everyone’s favourite bad gal sported this brassy hue. Naturally, this induced a collective meltdown amongst fans, who proceeded to express their appreciation for RiRi’s new ‘do on Instagram. This includes celebrities such as Kathy Hilton and Erich Al Amin — who also, respectfully, enquired about the status of her upcoming album. Our advice? Don’t hold your breath for it just yet.

4. Addison Rae will be releasing her very-own fragrance line.
Conducted in partnership with Hampton Beauty, it encompasses several “science-based” fragrances that take inspiration from different moods. Specifically, they are: Chill AF, Happy AF, and Hyped AF. Hampton Beauty Managing Partner, Lori Mariano, stated in a press release that the intention behind the collection was to allow users to not just smell good, but feel good, too. “Her whole concept was how do we take fragrance to a different approach?” she wrote. “The Gen Z audience wants you to do something a little different than the norm. This answers that question for them. We gave Addison a platform to approach fragrance from a different angle.”

5. Olay has developed new moisturiser lids for those with limited mobility.
The idea was conceived after the beauty conglomerate received a bevy of complaints regarding their stiff, tricky-to-open lids. And so, Olay’s Easy Open Lid was born, developed specifically for folks suffering “from dexterity issues and limb differences to chronic issues causing joint pain and vision impairments.” Aforementioned lid contains wings on both sides; a raised top with some texture for grip; more discernable product labels; and Braille text. The lids are free to purchase for all consumers scooping up the Olay Regenerist Moisturiser.

6. Clarins has teamed-up with Clarins to release beauty and wardrobe essentials for mothers.
This refers to all mothers from pregnancy to delivery. For the beauty label, this translates to a special set targeting stretch marks and promoting skin elasticity; a comprehensive collection comprising the Body Partner Stretch Mark Expert Tonic Body Treatment Oil, Exfoliating Body Scrub, Energizing Leg Emulsion, V Shaping Facial Lift, UV Plus [5P] Anti-Pollution SPF50/PA+++, and a Pregnancy Book by Jacques & Olivier Courtin-Clarins. Love Bonito, on the other hand, has created bump-friendly garments in the form of Embrace, by Love Bonito — a “maternity line of wardrobe essentials to complement each maternity milestone.” Mazel tov to all parties involved!
