A woman wears many hats. But a woman of success — mind, body, and spirit — wears Lacoste. Denise Keller is living proof.
What is feminine in 2020? We know the term is no longer confined to frills and pink, to sugar and spice. There's more to being a woman than the clothes they wear, yet the clothes women wear are a reflection of how they view womanhood. It's how she moves, how she feels, what she thinks... because femininity comes from within. It's about feeling good about yourself, with confidence at its core.

Denise Keller feels most confident when she's herself. And she's most herself when she has the freedom to say what's on her mind, the strength to empower others, the courage to live her life unbridled. She looks for elegance and ease, fashion that functions with her whether she's grabbing a coffee in the morning, hosting a travel show, or spending the weekend with a charitable organisation.

Here are some of her thoughts on femininity, convictions and what empowers her every day.
Lacoste has always been an iconic brand to many sports fans like myself. I remember watching tennis matches with my father as a child and I remembered how symbolic the crocodile logo looked on the famous polo t-shirts worn by the players. It's a classy brand, in my opinion.

Having Creative Director Louise Trotter put her spin on such a nostalgic brand is incredibly exciting. This is a brand of contrasts: it reflects true heritage with a contemporary lens for the future; a beautiful harmony of classics with a street vibe. The fit is relaxed yet not oversized, and the colours are sophisticated, elegant yet bold at the same time.
WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE LACOSTE COLLECTION?
Dressing up makes me feel good because it makes me feel like I can do anything. That's because when I look good, I feel good. Fashion allows me to tell stories about myself and connect with other people through the theatre of clothes. Getting dressed up, working a look, sharing myself through fashion... I get a clean slate every day.
WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON FASHION?
Being a woman is about being able to do anything I want. It also means wearing what I want, when I want to and not feel bad about it. I feel that International Women's Day (which just passed on 8 March) is a positive day to mark, as it gives society a chance to reflect, grow and improve.
WHAT IS FEMININITY TO YOU?
I feel most empowered when I'm directing behind a camera. I feel most confident when I surround myself with like-minded women. And I'm inspired by people who will stop at nothing to making a positive difference to other people's lives.
WHEN DO YOU FEEL MOST EMPOWERED, CONFIDENT AND INSPIRED?
I stand for our natural environment. Mother Earth gives us so much life, beauty and joy.
WHAT DO YOU STAND FOR?
I do things that give me solitude, such as running, cycling, diving and meditation.
HOW DO YOU KEEP A CLEAR MIND?
I love music, travelling the world, diving into new cultures, spending time with my pets and living a healthy life on top of that.
WHAT BRINGS YOU JOY?
The Lacoste Iconic Women collection is now available at all Lacoste boutiques.
