Stay a night and score a pass into Frisco's most exclusive club

There's a place in every city that everyone is trying their best to get into and in the windy city of San Francisco, that place is The Battery. Housed in the historic Musto Building in the Jackson Square neighbourhood (the oldest commercial district of SF), The Battery was once a 58,000 sq ft, five-storey marble warehouse and former candy factory.

And you'll find a colourful crowd here — from artists and authors to entrepreneurs and engineers, it's worth just sitting in the lobby to people watch. The Battery's vision is to bring together diverse groups of leaders in their fields to relax, play, share ideas, as well as create and connect with others. Sounds a little like our very own up and coming Straits Clan?

The only way for visitors to San Francisco, like ourselves, to get in? Book a stay at one of their 14 well-appointed guest rooms. The vibes here eclectic yet sophisticated, and that's for the most part attributed to world-renowned designer Ken Fulk. There's a delicate balance between refined luxury and timeworn patina — imagine gilded mirrors and plush leather seats against brick walls and distressed wood floors. The guest rooms are extremely spacious at 400 to 600 sq ft, and features everything you need to enjoy Friday night in. We're talking super-fast WiFi connectivity, a Geneva sound system, and a large bathtub (alongside Malin +Goetz amenities) that will have you soaking in there for hours. Mr & Mrs Smith will also ensure you get a free bottle of wine to go along with it.

If you're looking for a baller pad with your crew, The Battery's one and only penthouse encompasses 6,200 sq ft of indulgence. The sky's the limit in this expansive space — expect no less than a fireplace, a full kitchen outfitted with Viking appliances, a fire pit, and a rooftop infinity hot tub. #Goals.

Make room for nightly (or daily) tipples, because there are four hotel bars for you to pick from — an outdoor Garden Bar, a House Bar for small plates and craft cocktails, a Dining Room Bar that focuses on a weekly cocktail menu, and the super exclusive Musto Bar.

The Battery is walking distance to the glittering waters of Embarcadero, where the bustling Ferry Building makes for hours of good food and shopping. Be sure to grab a coffee at Blue Bottle, or dine at The Slanted Door for moreish Vietnamese.
