Family – you got to love them. And while you do, it gets a little hectic when you're attempting to plan a vacay for the whole brady bunch, especially when it includes the little ones. Well, Marriott Hotels & Resorts may have just taken a huge load off your shoulders – launched aptly during the past summer break, their new 'M Passport' program brings about the tinkling sound of children's laughter without you having to go through the planning woes of eliciting a coveted state of convivial play from them. Not only that – the activities were chosen thoughtfully, aiming not only to set up some fun and games for the young'uns on their trip, but to help them grow physically, intellectually, and emotionally too. We love that kill-two-birds-with-one-stone efficiency.

So what exactly is in store for them? After receiving an 'M Passport' booklet upon check-in, children aged 4 to 12 will be privy to all the fun activities they can participate in, each of which would award them achievement stamps that can be accumulated in the same booklet. The stamps, in turn, can be exchanged for corresponding rewards within the property – so they get to really relish in the feeling of their successes.

Towards the goals of physical engagement, activities like morning tai chi and a scavenger hunt (not unlike a heart-thumping game of The Amazing Race) are offered at the Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel. And hands-on Fijian clay making and fish feeding activities are also available at the Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay to enrapture their child-like wonderment, fostering that crucial curiosity towards intellectual growth. Finally, building character – what better way to build social and emotional capacity than to be exposed to the diverse cultures of the world? In the Phuket Marriott Resort & Spa, Nai Yang Beach, the little ones are exposed to various aspects of Thai culture (such as their language, costume, and dance), as well as get the opportunity to practice sunrise beach yoga to get in touch with their young souls.

If you want to join in on the adventures, the Jaisalmer Marriott Resort & Spa can sweep the whole family off their feet through a journey exploring the ancient Thar Desert. And if you'd like less sand in your boot, you can surround yourself with mildew and the scents of the jungle instead – staying at a national park at the Mulu Marriott Resort & Spa and taking a gander through the Borneo rainforest. For the thrill-seekers, the UNESCO Geopark may very well be the perfect destination – hiking along the volcanic landscape near the Jeju Shinhwa World Marriott Resort is likely a truly humbling experience.

A total of 20 Marriott hotels and resorts will have the M Passport program ready and available for the convenience of large families across Asia-Pacific. And the best part? An M Passport Family Fun Package means that you don't just get to treat yourself to a luxurious hotel stay – you're rewarded for it too. Stay two nights or more (which, let's be honest, we holiday for at least a week when it's with Marriott) in either a standard room or a suite (say yes to the latter – it's worth it), and a children's pack, in-room kids amenities, free meals (with their own set of conditions) and guaranteed connecting rooms are yours.
