Emirates now allows its flyers to curate their very own inflight entertainment playlist ahead of their flights
Ready for take-off
There's a certain love-hate relationship when it comes to boarding a flight. On one hand, you're thrilled to visit a new destination while on the other, you're bored out of your wits. We have all been there — being restricted to a square of a seat, sub-par plane food, lack of alcohol options and the list goes on. Well dread no more as Emirates has recently announced that flyers will now be able to create their very own playlist — ahead of their flights.
Your time will be well-spent in the good hands of their award-winning inflight entertainment — ice, which has over 4,000 channels of movies, TV shows and music available on demand and in different languages. All you have to do is pick your favorites on the Emirates app. Once on board, you can sync your playlist to your seatback TV as your pre-curated programmes run for the entirety of your flight.
Currently, the syncing capability is available on only 100 Emirates Boeing 777 aircraft and will be made accessible progressively over the entire fleet, including the A380 aircraft in the subsequent months. The personalisation isn't just limited to their in-flight entertainment system, flyers can also peruse their flight's menu and wine lists up to a month before their flight. We're looking forward to take-off already.
