The New York-based luggage brand to watch
A strong case
We're all too familiar with the stresses of travelling and Arlo Skye has arrived to take the edge of your trip and make the commute just that little bit more stylish. The newly founded travel brand led by former Louis Vuitton and Tumi alumni has premiered their new Carry-On luggage collection featuring a suite of well-considered components crowning it as a safe haven for all your travelling essentials.
Described as 'a carry-on reimagined for the design-obsessed', the lightweight luggage is elegant and 2.3 times stronger than commonly available polycarbonate plastic cases. Putting quality at the forefront, Arlo Skye has sourced components from an array of countries: lithium-ion cells from Japan, alloy from the US, antimicrobial interior lining from Taiwan, and vegetable-tanned leather from Italy.
The luggage also boasts patented wheels that ensure a 15% noise reduction. Why? Because wheels should be seen, not heard. Taking it further, the case design also bids farewell to the outer zipper by replacing it with a one-touch open/close frame. But of course, the real crowning achievement of the Carry-On would have to be its removable dual-port charger engineered to recharge devices up to 75% faster than conventional batteries. The portable charger also comes with built-in surge and short-circuit protection. Now that's smart.
