#TechThursday: LG's latest X Series phone lasts 72 hours on a single charge
Talk about going the extra mile

LG's second-generation X-series smartphone, X Power, is set to launch in Singapore on 17 September. As its name suggests, the X Power comes fitted with a 4,100mAH battery, meaning a single charge will power your phone for a whooping 72 hours. Perfect for intercontinental travellers, Pokémon player on the hunt for the elusive Snorlax, or those who just can't be fussed to carry a powerbank around.

Given the phone's slim 7.9mm body and 5.3-inch HD display, you won't expect it to deliver 27 hours of talk time, 925 hours of standby time, 19 hours of video playback, and 185 hours of audio playback — but it does. It doesn't take long to charge-up either, requiring less than 2 hours before it's fully loaded and ready to go again. You can also use the X Power as a power source to charge up other mobile devices. Simply connect an external device to the phone via a USB On the Go Cable to turn your phone into a mobile powerbank.

Available from 17 September from S$298 at M1, Singtel, StarHub, and authorised LG retailers. For more information, click here.
