Sony’s latest OLED TV could just be what your home needs
Behold, the era of OLED televisions. Gone were the days where we used to sound out terms like "high definition" or "LCD screens"; now, it's all about organic light-emitting diode (commonly known as OLED). Following the success of LG's maiden foray into the world of "perfect black" is Sony – a strong contender rapidly stepping up its game, especially with its latest BRAVIA OLED A8F series.
We first saw the entry of Sony's OLED debut last year, in the form of A1E Bravia 4K OLED TV. This year, the Japanese corporation has made quite a few enhancements. Thanks to Sony's proprietary innovations as well as their picture processing expertise, the A8F series's 4K HDR picture quality have been refined — lending precise control of the 8 million OLED pixels. Expect deeper blacks, rich and life-like colours and an exceptional wide viewing angle.
External audio speakers? Not necessary for this svelte beauty. Utilising an Accoustic Surface Sound technology on the OLED's structure, the screen emits a rich vibrating audio, making any blockbuster an immersive experience. Other essential perks include Chromecast, Google Play, Android TV, which allows you to stream your favourite TV series as well as hook up your smartphone or tablet to the TV.
The revival of stay-home Saturdays could now be near, especially with this brilliant sheet of tech.
The Sony BRAVIA OLED A8F series will be available in the 2nd quarter of 2018.
