Samsung launches its thinnest smartphone to date
The Galaxy A8 4G+ sports a metal body with premium design cues

At 5.9mm, Samsung's Galaxy A8 4G+ ranks as the brand's slimmest smartphone ever. The super slim model is not only thinner than its predecessors, it is also the slimmest smartphone — amongst the major manufacturers — on the market right now. Sporting a suave all-metal body with gently curved edges, the phone draws upon premium design cues to emerge as one of Samsung's sleekest looking exports in recent years.

It isn't all style without substance. The generous 5.7" full HD display is perfect for Insta-stalking while the 5MP and 16MP front and rear cameras, respectively, are capable of capturing moments even under low-light conditions. The phone's Wide Selfie Mode also allows you to capture the perfect wide-angle wefie without the need for a selfie stick.

Despite its slim body, the phone also manages to pack in a 3,050mAh battery, meaning you can stretch your battery life for up to two days with each full charge. The A8's dual SIM capability will also come in handy for those tired of toggling between two phones.

Available at local telecommunication operators, authorised retailers, and Samsung Experience Stores in gold or white from 1 August
