Seeing double? We break down Samsung's handsome new duo

These days, it's hard to tell smartphones apart at first glance. Their aesthetics don't often stray too far from a palm-sized touchscreen, a sleek body, and a beautiful black, gold or silver finish. As a result, with every new creation, reboot or upgrade, it's really about what's inside that differentiates one model from the other. Samsung's latest additions to their slew of Android devices are the Galaxy J3 Pro and the Galaxy J7 Pro, which looks almost identical at first glance. So what makes one more suited for you than the other? We investigate.

Samsung Galaxy J3 Pro

With any new smartphone in the market, having a formidable front camera is a requisite. The new Galaxy J3 Pro is equipped with a 5-megapixel front camera, a front LED flash, and Selfie Flash — yes, only your best face forward for your followers. At the same time, make good use of the 13-megapixel rear camera when it comes to capturing your daily life, gorgeous food shots, or enviable holidays around the world. The phone is equipped with a Dual SIM function, allowing multiple accounts (i.e. business or personal) to be set up on the same device. In terms of memory space, you'll get 16GB of internal memory on top of additional storage on the Samsung Cloud storage base.

Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro

Designed to be a cut above the Galaxy J3 Pro, the Galaxy J7 Pro's front camera gets a major upgrade with an impressive 13-megapixel feature, while retaining the capabilities of the Galaxy J3 Pro's rear camera as well as the Dual SIM function. A recognisable difference? Its 5.5" FHD Super AMOLED screen, which affords a sharper and clearer view of the interface. The Galaxy J7 Pro boasts an Always-On-Display (AOD) feature, which keeps the smartphone constantly dimly-lit, so users can keep track of the time, incoming messages and notifications without having to physically touch or press on it. It also comes with the ability to use Samsung Pay, which offers seamless payment transactions with a single tap. When it comes to memory space, the overachiever one ups the Galaxy J3 Pro with 32GB of internal memory, excluding additional storage made available on the Samsung Cloud storage base.

Both the Galaxy J3 Pro and Galaxy J7 Pro models are available in Black and Gold, in all Samsung Experience Stores and authorised mobile retailers.
