PS.Cafe by the Sea at East Coast Park: Its first outlet in the East that focuses on seafood
Journey to the East
It might be PS.Cafe's eighth outlet on our shores, but this one holds a special place in our hearts. It marks the first ever outpost to be in the East, and by the tranquil beachside no less at East Coast Park. Springing free from the hustle and the bustle of the city clutter, this charming restaurant definitely takes the spot for languid meals. In a nutshell, you come to PS.Cafe by the Sea at East Coast Park to unwind and pig out. If it were up to us, work meets and emails should be left at the door here.
In a spacious breezy setting, is a 120-seater that you'll find echoing the same uniquely PS.Cafe furnishings we have grown to love. But here to set it apart from its train of establishments peppered across the city is a few exclusive dishes that pay tribute to its location. Why it's all about the sea of course, the all-day menu here will shine the spotlight on brand new seafood dishes like chargrilled octopus in a dish that might remind you of char siew as well as a Thai-inspired lemongrass mussel and clam pasta to sate your appetite for crustaceans.
There's also Singapore chili crab and prawns, with a delicate PS.Cafe spin on it — reprising of fried soft shell crab and grilled tiger prawns and those golden mantous we love so much. To pile on the indulgence, jade fried rice accompanies the thick and luscious chili crab dip. Truffle fries? At the ready.
This outlet also sees a first full-fledged menu dedicated to the kiddos. In the Junior section, meals like spaghetti bolognese, mini pancake stacks, and grilled cheese toasties. With every item, a complimentary scoop of ice cream will be served alongside. Safe to say, we forsee many gleeful little diners riding on a sugar high here.
