Best in Asia

Can't say we didn't call this win — but the best restaurant in Asia is now officially in Singapore. Modern French restaurant Odette at The National Gallery has finally been crowned No.1 on this year's Asia's 50 Best Restaurants. Not only has the elite team, led by chef Julien Royer, made the leap of jumping from last year's ranking of No.5, it has also knocked four-time winner Gaagan off its seat. Apart from Odette, six other restaurants on our shores have also been written in, namely Burnt Ends (No.10), Jaan (No.32), Les Amis (No.33), Waku Ghin (No.40), Corner House (No.49) and last but not least, first-time entrant Nouri at No.39.
