Nespresso walks the talk of sustainability with its newest boutique store
Black is the new green
Your coffee beans might not be the most green commodity in the market, but as much as this morning staple is here to stay, Nespresso’s long-standing commitment to sustainability might be alleviating the weight off our caffeinated conscience. With the opening of its latest sustainability-focused boutique concept at VivoCity, Nespresso’s dedication to sustainable consumption is elevated to the tangibles of a new immersive guest experience that will educate and inspire.
A muted colour palette of rich coffee browns and crema-inspired gold fills the store, featuring a display of fixtures that echo the ambience of a coffee farm. Table tops are made from real coffee grounds from the Nespresso factory, while lamps inspired by those used on coffee bean sorting tables hang quietly from above. Ever felt the pinch of tossing those pretty capsules into the bin? Bring them to any Nespresso store. Not only will they be recycled into practical productions (like the metal partitions and shelves at the VivoCity store), The Food Bank Singapore will provide approximately one meal to a beneficiary within The Food Bank Singapore’s network with each recycling by a Nespresso Club Member.
Impressed by its fancy technology but never found your way around the Lattissimas, the Creatistas or the Essenzas? Nespresso's dedication to sensorial guest experiences now allows you to experiment with coffee recipes and personalise your own coffee experience through the different Nespresso machines. From the perfect milk froth to unique coffee creations, your usual coffee moments at home can now be elevated with all your own personal preferences. If you're looking for more information on how to enjoy that perfect cuppa, this one’s for you — coffee masterclasses will be held in-store to expand your knowledge on everything coffee, from bean right through to the finished cup. No one does experiential learning better than this Nestle entity.
Nespresso VivoCity boutique is now open at Unit 204-206, Level 1, 1 Harbourfront Walk.
