Questionnaire extraordinaire

Text: Denise Kok

The Red Bull Racing driver gamely tackles eight questions from the famed Bernard Pivot questionnaire

What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
Music. It's a big part of my life. It can motivate me, it can hit the right spot. Apart from that, it's seeing other people succeed. When I watch other sports and see someone do something great, that gets me going.

What turns you off?
Inadequacy. Not fulfilling your potential, I don't like that.

What is your favourite curse word?
Can I say that? It's pretty rude. No, never mind, I'm not going to say it — it's a four-letter 'C' word.

What sound or noise do you love?
The sound of a nice car.

What sound or noise do you hate?
Nail file. I hate the sound of a nail file.

What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
Maybe a MotoGP rider. But I also like to sing, I sing in the shower all the time.

What profession would you not like to do?
Sit behind a desk. I am way too fidgety for that.

If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
This life is even better.
