Valentine's Day date ideas: A French movie drive-in under the stars

P.S. I Love You

Text: Denise Kok

Forget the IMAX theatres. Drive-in movie theatres are cool again

For the gents who have run out of ideas for date night, here's something for you to charm your Valentine (or Tinderella) with. Come 13 February, French car manufacturer Citroën will play cupid by transforming the open field between Tanjong Rhu Road and Tanjong Rhu View into a playground for romance. To kick off their P.S. I Love You campaign, Citroën is orchestrating a movie drive-in experience complete with a mini food fair and a chance for motor heads to take some of Citroën's most beloved cars for a spin.

In keeping with French savoir faire, Priceless, the 2006 French film starring Audrey Tautou and Gad Elmaleh will play on the big screen. With only 120 drive-in spots available, you'll do well to reserve a spot here from now till 1 February 2016. Those without their own cars won't be left out from the evening either. You can enjoy your champagne and strawberries at the picnic area. The first 30 registered guests to arrive at the event will receive a complimentary picnic basket. As the old adage goes, the early bird certainly catches the worm.
