BMW launches its all-new 5 series sedans in Singapore
In the past decade, over 10,000 cars from the BMW 5 Series have been sold in Singapore. Going by these numbers, it's no surprise that BMW Group Asia and Performance Motors Limited are confident about rolling out yet another head-turner from the line. What does the seventh-generation BMW 5 Series bring to the table? For one, the all-new BMW 530i and BMW 540i are up to 100kg lighter than their predecessors — a feat owing to a lightweight design of aluminium and high-strength steels.
Besides sporting new petrol engines that are more fuel efficient, the cars take the edge out of driving with extended functions for the optional Active Cruise Control system and steering and lane control assistant, allowing for the system to intuitively assist with distance-keeping, accelerating, braking, and land control.
Speaking about the new BMW 5 Series, Mr. Horst Herdtle, Managing Director of Performance Motors Limited said: "We are delighted to offer the all-new BMW 5 Series which sports unrivalled performance and cutting edge technologies like the large full-colour Head Up Display and the latest-generation iDrive system with touch, voice and gesture controls. Combining these with its sporty look and interior designed with enhanced quality and precision, the all-new BMW 5 Series resonates with the boldness of top business executives. We are confident the all-new BMW 5 Series will be one of the best- selling luxury sedans in Singapore."
