Behind the scenes of the 2016 French Open with Edward Russell
In the words of Audrey Hepburn, "Paris is always a good idea." Luckily for me, I am spending the next two weeks in one of my favourite cities watching one of my favourite sports — tennis.
I am reporting live from the French Open at Roland Garros for FOX Sports, mingling with tennis superstars, putting in long hours from the production suite, and squeezing in some of my favourite Parisian treats while I'm here: croissants, good wine, and the world's best cheese.
Below, a look at how my days have been unfolding.
This was a real pinch-me moment, reporting live from the iconic orange clay courts of Roland Garros. Even the 15 degree weather and threat of rain (I do need to invest in one of those jackets) could do nothing to dampen my spirits.

Star meeting no. 1. I spoke with Rafael Nadal in the first week and he was on excellent form and in high spirits. As nine-time champion of the French Open, he certainly felt like he was playing on familiar territory. Gutted to hear he's had to pull out due to a wrist injury. Fingers crossed he'll be ready for Wimbledon in a few weeks' time!
Here's fellow FOX Sports presenter, Angela, posing with tennis players through the ages. From the wooden Victorian rackets to the extraordinary hairstyles (and headbands) of the eighties, I think it's safe to say that the fashion sense of tennis stars has improved somewhat.
Watching Andy Murray in action from up high.
Star meeting no. 2. I just love interviewing Serena. She's effortlessly cool off-court and a major powerhouse on the court. She knocked out her Round Two opponent in less than 45 minutes. Go Serena!

Star meeting no. 3. Interviewing tennis legend Aranxta Sanchez Vicario.
Novak Djokovic has certainly received a lot of support at the French Open! Believe it or not, this isn't Novak being swarmed by adoring fans, but during a warm-up for the ball boys and boy girls at Roland Garros. What a good sport!
As we gear up to what will no doubt be another amazing round of tennis on the courts, make sure you are tuned in to watch all the latest French Open happenings live and exclusively on FOX Sports.
