As digital natives ourselves, one thing remains constant — we're always on the lookout for new talents to feature and celebrate, and what better way to recognise these tastemakers and changemakers than to nominate them for our annual Buro. Digital Awards?

This year, we shine the spotlight on individuals making an impact in their various arenas, from fashion, fitness, and urban photography, to start-ups and movements shaping the way we live. The categories are:

D. Best Social Changemaker
E. Best Digital Start-Up

Who has made the biggest impression on you in 2019? Cast your vote to crown the deserving winner(s) — all you have to do is scroll through the nominees (from left to right) in each category, and click to vote.

What is Buro. Digital Awards?
It's our way of acknowledging those who have made a significant contribution to the Singapore digital space over the last year. For our fourth Buro. Digital Awards ceremony — held during our Buro. Beach Club birthday celebration — we will be handing out awards in five categories:

A. Best Fashion-Forward Feed
B. Best Fitness Inspiration
C. Most Creative Feed (An Ode to Singapore)
D. Best Social Changemaker
E. Best Digital Start-Up

How are the winners decided?
This is where you come in. Winners for each category will be decided through a combination of online voting (40%) plus offline votes cast by a panel of judges (60%) that includes Buro. Singapore's editorial team and last year's winners.

What criteria is used to evaluate the nominees?
The nominees for each category (see below) were decided by the panel of judges who took into account the following quantitative and qualitative aspects of 'influence':

For Best Fashion-Forward Feed, Best Fitness Inspiration, and Most Creative Feed (An Ode to Singapore), nominees are judged on:
(a) Number of followers;
(b) Engagement of followers (ratio of average 'likes' to total followers);
(c) Professionalism (which includes accountability, integrity, reliability, work ethic and communication);
(d) Quality of content (which includes originality, creativity and aesthetic appeal); and
(e) Presence (which includes industry credibility, personality, passion, affability, and gravitas).

For Best Social Changemaker, nominees must:
(a) Have given back to society in their scope of work;
(b) Have demonstrated innovation in their field; and
(c) Have relevance to the Buro. Singapore reader (that is, independent trendsetters with a global outlook for what's new and what's next).

For Best Digital Start-Up, nominees must:
(a) Be predominantly digital in its operations;
(b) Have demonstrated innovation in their field;
(c) Have achieved something significant in the last year; and
(d) Have relevance to the Buro. Singapore reader (that is, independent trendsetters with a global outlook for what's new and what's next).

Voting ends on 24 September 2019.

When will the winners be announced?
The winner will be announced at Buro. Beach Club, our fourth anniversary celebration happening at Tanjong Beach Club on 19 October 2019.
