Puma's newest line of running shoes includes a NITRO foam for better cushioning and comfort
Pump it up
Often enough, there might be extreme inertia when it comes to running, but honestly, there hasn't been a shortage of solutions that have been invented for the purpose of obliterating said inertia. All of which embedded and deeply invested in running shoes. Through the years, sportwear brands have constantly updated their solutions to make running more of an ease and less of a torture affair.
And similar to others, Puma has an integral running line, despite how many might not know of. But all that's about to change with its refreshed entry back into the running scene — with the launch of a new foam NITRO, made for effortless running and speed. This advanced foam technology is infused with nitrogen gas to improve responsiveness and cushioning, resulting in a lightweight pair for runners to sport during their marathons and high mileage runs. With regards to the women's line, the shoes have also been specially engineered for the female foot, securing a lower in-step, sculpted arch shape, and a narrow heel.
Riding from this innovation, Puma's running line swoops in fast with four different models, each tagged to a different function.
The Deviate NITRO
Good for: The avid runner
Featuring two layers of PUMA's new foam, NITRO, and their new INNOPLATE technology, the Deviate NITRO is the star of Puma's newest line of running shoes. The new INNOPLATE technology is an internal composite carbon fibre plate that acts as a lever to propel the foot forward, increasing running efficiency. Puma's new INNOPLATE gives runners a quicker toe-off for a more forceful stride by using the best propulsion aspects of Puma's track spikes.
The Deviate NITRO will be available from the 1st of April 2021 on PUMA.com and select PUMA stores.
The Eternity NITRO
Good for: The runner prone to injuries
What sets the Eternity NITRO apart from the rest of the line is the new runGUIDE system. This system is a firm density rim that helps with proper alignment, keeping the foot centered through each step. No matter your running form, this shoe can aid with better support and stability during your runs. Comfort is key, after all.
The Eternity NITRO will be available from the 1st of April 2021 on PUMA.com and select PUMA stores.
The Liberate NITRO
Good for: The runner who sprints
While the Deviate NITRO is built and more suited for long-distance running, the Liberate NITRO is the shoes for those who prefer shorter runs. Built similar to the Deviate NITRO just without the INNOPLATE technology, this pair of shoes offers an extremely lightweight shoe with superior cushioning. With the simplified mono-mesh upper, the shoe will drain any water out should the runner encounter water during their run. If you prefer a fast tempo run or sprinting, this is the choice for you.
The Liberate NITRO will be available from the 1st of April 2021 on PUMA.com and select PUMA stores.
The Velocity NITRO
Good for: The new runner
If you are looking for a pair of running shoes that primarily focuses on comfort more than anything else, the Velocity NITRO is the pair for you. These sleek looking shoes are designed to provide optimal cushioning and responsiveness on every run, no matter what terrain you're embarking on. Expect a durable, smooth journey with a well-fitted shoe meant for any running distance.
