Nike’s new dynamic yoga workouts will bend you back into shape
With yoga, it isn't actually about how flexible you really are, but honestly about grasping the perfect timing. After all, your mind needs to be at ease for the workout to actually go on without a hitch. And by at ease, we don't mean brainstorming ideas for your next day's meeting. Yoga is a practice that demands both your physical and mental state to be present.
All thanks to the Nike+ Training Club app, you can find the right time to work out whenever and wherever. Their new slew of yoga routines are crafted based on three main pillars of endurance (exercises that help build stamina), strength (exercises that have longer poses to build up muscle strength) and mobility (restorative sessions that aim to release tension and recharge any weary soul).
Anyone from beginners to yogis who are looking to improve their flow can look to the routines that span between 15 to 45 minutes long. So obviously, if you had suffered a long dreary Monday in the office, simply head back and schedule a quick 15-minute session from the comforts of your own home. Yogis who are heavily involved in other exercises like running can also choose routines that complement their current active interests, say a few minutes on the mat to gain better flexibility.
"This isn't about just doing yoga on what would otherwise be an off day, but actually making yoga a regular part of your routine," says Traci Copeland, one of the Nike Master Trainers who designed the workouts.
There goes your last excuse out the window — it's time to grab a mat, move the furniture and fall into your poses.
