Los Angeles' Barry's Bootcamp is bringing its signature red room and HIIT workouts to Singapore this May

Welcome to the red room

We thought we have seen it all on our island — from ClassPass memberships to L.A.'s celebrity boxing studio, but who knew more has yet to come? The legendary Barry's Bootcamp has announced that their flagship studio is set to open in Raffles Place this May. Known for their high intensity interval based workouts that burn up to 1000 calories in an hour, you can be sure this will be no walk in the park. Especially if you've been going on a bubble tea binge of late.

Despite the sweat (and probably tears), the programme is a favourite with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. Think the Beckhams and Kim Kardashian. Singapore's opening marks the first in Asia — with Hong Kong next in line.

What can you look forward to? Choose from two 50-minute class options: the Original combines 25 minutes of cardio on the treadmill and 25 minutes of strength training on the floor while the Double Floor is treadmill-free and focuses on strength training. Carried out in their signature red room (of pain) with a heart pumping and beat-heavy playlist, you'll find a personal cheerleader in your instructor as they push you to your limits and work out muscles that you didn't even know existed. Toss out your 50 Shades impressions, you're in here for serious business. Fuel Bar

In this boutique gym, your pre and post-workout needs will be covered. Look forward to Barry's signature Fuel Bar that will blend up made-to-order locally adapted protein smoothies. You'll also find an extensive range of Barry's sportswear and changing rooms stocked with a Dry Bar, that's stocked with a bevy of grooming products for your mane.

If our bodies weren't ready before, they're definitely ready now.
