Some claim that it helps one shed a few pounds, especially when you need to fit into that Herve Leger dress, but whether the weight loss remains or not is yet to be proven. After all, what we're drinking is essentially just sugar.

3. Don't cut back on water

Remember your H2O as this will keep your digestive system on track and prevent any dehydration. Make it a point to consume between six and eight glasses a day, and above everything else, cut out coffee, tea, and alcohol — all of which are notoriously dehydrating.

4. Organic produce is better for your body

If you're making the juices at home, try to buy organic fruits and vegetables as they aren't heavily sprayed with pesticides that can be difficult to remove. Consuming them means you're taking in the chemicals as well.

5. It is absolutely fine to deviate from the liquid diet

If you're doing this for the first time, it is normal to feel like you're breaking down physically without any solid foods in your system. When that happens, snack on some raw carrots or fruit. Doing so gives your body a small amount of fibre, which can appease the hunger pangs.
