Step into FaMA, Clarke Quay’s latest fitness and martial arts centre
Pack a punch
If you're looking to pick up some kick-ass chops with a scenic view to match, you’re in luck. Set in the heart of Singapore, newly launched fitness centre, FaMA (Fitness and Martial Arts), has hung up their punching bags in an airy 4,500 square feet training area backdropped with inspiring views of the Singapore River.
Helmed by founders and Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) black belt-certified practitioners, Zoro Moreira and Bruno Amorim, you know you’re in good hands. Moreira earned his stripes when he scooped four gold medals in various BJJ championships while Amorim is a professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter with over 12 years of experience as a BJJ instructor.
At FaMA, you'll find something for everyone. Try out a family-friendly class in basic BJJ to get a taste of a gentler form of martial arts. Once you've nailed the fundamentals, have a go at the advanced classes. For speedy reflexes and a stamina hike, pack a punch during Muay Thai sessions or get to know the fundamental martial arts techniques by way of FaMA's energetic fitness sessions.
Post-workout, catch your breath while bonding with fellow members in a lounge stocked with complimentary refreshments. You'll also find a full suite of bathroom amenities at your disposal.
