Breakfast in a flash

Overnight oats are one of the easiest ways to fix up a healthy breakfast without having to slave over a stove while you're still bleary-eyed. All you have to do is mix up your base of oats with your choice of milk and toppings, and your little jar of oats will 'cook' itself while you sleep. In this recipe from the good folk at Ocean Spray, you'll find lots of cranberries — both in solid in liquid form — that help to promote circulation and good gastrointestinal health. Pecans are used in this recipe, but feel free to swap them for your favourite type of nuts.

Here's what you'll need

Serves 4

2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats

1 cup Ocean Spray CranGrape Grape Cranberry juice drink

1 cup vanilla (or original) flavoured refrigerated almond, soy, or fresh milk

1/4 cup chopped pecans

1/4 cup Ocean Spray Craisins original dried cranberries

1/2 cup mango, chopped into chunks

How to make it

1. In a large bowl, stir oats, the cranberry juice drink, and milk together. Pour into a mason jar or container.

2. Refrigerate for eight hours or overnight.

3. To serve, stir and divide oat mixture between four bowls, top with pecans and dried cranberries.
