Introducing Publico, the latest gourmet haven at Robertson Quay
The wine and dine scene at Robertson Quay, namely Quayside, has definitely been on a roll as of late, and their most recent newcomer, Publico proves that the trendy neighbourhood isn't planning on slacking off anytime soon.
Housed at the brand new InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay, Publico is a gourmet playground that comprises of a deli that serves all-day breakfast, a ristorante (which has yet to unveil its lunch menu) and a swanky bar once night time rolls around — with an alter ego name — Marcello. The theme here is definitively Italian, with its interior emulating the vibrancy of an Italian trattoria, tempered with wooden tones and grungy stones.
Those with a mean appetite for brunch can dig into hearty, healthy options like a Mediterranean Scramble — scrambled egg whites accompanied with spiced yoghurt and marinated chicken breast. Others looking for indulgence will love their Southern Chicken and Waffles as well as their authentic Italian breakfast, which comprises of a cornetto (Italian crossiant), a shot of espresso, and a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. According to Publico, this is how 97.6 percent of the Italian nationals begin their day. Have a sweet tooth? Split their array of delectable Italian & European treats, such as the house special Tiramisu pots and Profiteroles, with your best mates.
Once night falls, imbibers can visit Marcello, where craft cocktails centered around the Italian herbal liqueur amaro are served. Our top pick? Have a go at their Amalfi Sour — a zesty concoction of amaro, citrus, homemade limoncello, and egg whites.
