It's no secret that eating out — and waiting in line — is considered a national pastime. Singapore's distinctive identity means that we're blessed with culinary diversity panning across many ethnic flavours. And when gourmet food is served by immaculately dressed waiters, with the vocals of Billie Holiday filling the room, the experience is on a league of its own. Nothing feels better than treating yourself to a fine dining experience of dainty amuse bouche and outstanding courses to follow.
In these current times, home is where we're having all our meals, and the thought of a celebratory feast might seem bleak or nearly impossible. Well, think again. A couple of our city's finest (and Michelin-starred) have plated up their own exclusive at-home experiences. Expect minor tweaks and creative delicacies to come through in this stellar line-up. So dish out your finest china, light those candles, and maybe put on some pants, it's time to treat yourself.
The offspring of Frantzén — Sweden's first 3-Michelin restaurant — Restaurant Zén offers customers a one-of-a-kind Swedish escape without ever having to leave our sunny island. And whilst we can't experience its head-turning Scandinavian and Japanese inspired interiors, Zén will bring its sensory-igniting meals right to your home. What does that entail, exactly? Zén at Home features a hamper basket, a 5-course à la Zén menu, an à la carte menu and a discounted gift voucher that has one-year validity, to be used for dine-in (when all this blows over). Choose between lamb or guinea fowl for the main course, with the likes of matcha tiramisu for dessert. Finally, finish off the bespoke dining experience with a glass of Zén gin in hand.

Created by French chef Julien Royer, 3-Michelin Odette (and Asia's top restaurant) has been on every gourmand's bucket eating list since its opening. And now, loyal customers will be glad to note that Odette's iconic seasonal plates will be available for takeaway. The multi-course Odette home experience will involve delicious entrées like the heirloom beetroot collection. For mains, you can look forward to dishes like the Burgaud Duck 'Apicius' and blue lobster. And lastly, freshly baked chouquettes and Odette's classic canneles flavoured with rum and vanilla are one of the many dessert options made available. Of course, there will be French wines — peruse from the restaurant's arsenal of options.
Located at One Fullerton, this restaurant offers dreamy panoramic views of Marina Bay waterfront coupled with Michelin-starred contemporary French cuisine. And while we can't enjoy the pretty picture in person (yet), we can happily indulge in Virtual Saint Pierre instead. Unlike typical delivery services, Saint Pierre wants guests to live in a lap of luxury whilst cooped up at home. The virtual experience will commence with diners entering a Zoom call virtual room, with a guest appearance from the chef-owner himself, Emmanuel Stroobant. Interacting with the guests, Stroobant will introduce the menu (course by course) before allowing the party to continue at the diners' leisurely pace. If that's got you feeling wide-eyed, wait till you see the gourmet menu up for grabs. Taking inspiration from the legendary A-Z menu of 26 courses, Virtual Saint Pierre will provide eight dishes in a form of premium bento boxes — of moreish bites including white asparagus, Hokkaido scallop, Atlantic lobster, omi beef and for a sweet finish, petit four.
