Starry, starry night

Who retained their stars? Who made the list for the first time? Find out below

This is the moment we've all been waiting for. We're at the Fullerton Hotel for the Golden Globes of the Singapore food scene — it's the second Singapore Michelin Guide awards ceremony, where we find out the restaurants and eateries who have made the cut. If anything, the competition actually gets even fiercer the second year in. "The Michelin star isn't a lifetime achievement, it has to be won back every single year," said Michael Ellis, International Director of the Michelin Guides.

The selection process takes into consideration five key elements — product quality, preparation and flavours, the chef's personality as shown through the cuisine, value for money and consistency over time and across the entire menu. We present with patriotic pride a total of 38 recipients this year, broken down to 30 1-star restaurants, seven 2-star restaurants and a single 3-star restaurant. Looking to make a reservation anytime soon? We'd recommend booking in now, and holding your lucky stars tight.
