Luke's Lobster to open in Singapore this August 2020 at Shaw House
The name is stupendously travelled, so much so that whenever we're in a foreign city — or rather the right city — Luke's Lobster never fails to be number one on the foodie list. There's just something irresistible about a casual joint serving fresh plump lobsters stuffed in a hot dog bun. Also, the snaking queue around it somehow reinforces the desire.
Now, those queues will emerge here next month as Luke's Lobster's first Singapore outpost officially opens at Shaw House. This new venture was made possible by Caerus Holding, best known for bringing New York's Lady M cakes and confectionery to Singapore. Apart from Luke's Lobster, the group will also be bringing in Leckerbaer, best known for reinventing the buttery Danish cookie. This bodes as some good news to our F&B industry post-circuit-breaker, as well as the relatively low-key food environ down at Orchard. Choose from a tasty array of lobsters, crabs and prawns dipped in mayonnaise, lemon butter and their special seasoning — all stuffed into a freshly toasted bun. Each roll comes in the smaller 113g version, or the 170g version, if you're feeling a little more peckish than usual.
Delivery services will stand as a core priority for Luke's Lobster Singapore, given the current times we're living in. Due to safe-distancing measures, the restaurant will only seat up to 30 hungry diners. While prices have not been revealed as of yet, word on the street is that they're remain "affordable for its quality". Well, not that that will interfere with the crowds come August. This is, after all, the lobster roll spot our tiny city's been eagerly waiting for.
