Gourmands in search of the freshest, finest seasonal Japanese fare on our shores, this one's for you. While our city's buzzing food scene does comprise of an array of notable establishments for the picking, few do it quite like Japanese restaurant Keyaki in Pan Pacific Singapore.
From 15 January till the end of February, diners will be able to experience the best seasonal produce from Hokkaido with Keyaki's special line-up. Located on the northern shores and spot on the coastline, the cold waters of Hokkaido make the perfect premise for harvesting high quality and exceptionally fresh seafood.
Dreamed up by Keyaki's executive chef, Shinichi Nakatake, there are two menus to choose from — one centered on Sapporo and the other dedicated to the city of Hakodate. Highlights include Taraba-gani (King Crab), prized for its delicate texture, aromatic flavour, and succulent sweet meat when lightly grilled; as well as a Grilled or Simmered Kinki Fish, which comes with a delicate layer of fat, adding a tinge of sweetness to the meat. Uni fans will also be thrilled to know that the sea urchin served here is of the highest quality, all thanks to the kelp-rich seas of Hokkaido.
