You can't afford to take any chances when it comes to a grilled cheese sandwich

"Why do you need a recipe for a grilled cheese sandwich?" A question one may ask.

Sure, it might seem like a no-brainer snack, but still we're talking about the grilled cheese sandwich, i.e. the untouchable sandwich one should never get wrong. Which brings us to this foolproof recipe, as shared by neighbourhood grocer, Little Farms. And yes, you need a sandwich press for this to work. Call us dramatic but that kitchen appliance can and will change your life. 

Serves 1

Grilled cheese sandwich: Here's what you need

Comté cheese, Cheddar cheese and Edam cheese (1 slice of each)
2 slices of Sourdough bread
Salt (to taste)
Pepper (to taste) 

Grilled cheese sandwich: How to make it

1. Cut the sourdough loaf to make two slices of bread.
2. Spread the butter on both sides of the sourdough and then place the cheese on one slice of bread.
3. Season the inside of the sandwich with salt and pepper and put the sandwich back together.
4. Place the cheese sandwich into the sandwich press and cook for five to 10 minutes until golden.
