So between rushing those work deadlines and dealing with the kids (and hubby) as you #WFH, you might really just be in dire need of a relaxing time away from everything — pronto. But what with the dearth of films and early closing times for bars, we're all starting to run out of grand ideas to spend the weekend away. So as short-lived as it may sound, a Saturday afternoon with the girls — sipping and sharing all the tea over little cakes and pastries — could possibly be the best short-term getaway for you right now. To help you out, we've listed a couple of delectable high teas in town. Now, time to start thinking about who's going to be sitting at your table of five. Choose wisely.

1864 at Sofitel City Centre

Brunch is for the Americans, and afternoon tea, for the British (or so they say). And 1864 knows how to enjoy it just as the Brits do. From Scones with Cream and Jam, to Stuffed Camembert Cheese on Waffle Croissants and Vanilla Panna Cotta with Berry Compote, their Afternoon Tea menu proffers a delectable range of high tea treats that you'd love if you came looking for the classic gourmet score. Time to sit down, relax and enjoy a good solid cuppa.

1864 Afternoon Tea is served from 2 to 5pm at $78++ for 2 persons.

Atlas Bar

Great Gatsby feels, anyone? With an interior worthy of people popping their heads past the doors every now and then, Atlas is one that's built for the 'Gram. Located in the central Bugis area, the Atlas Afternoon Tea is ready to offer you a medley of sweet and savoury bites served with your choice of prestigious tea blends. Their tea selection alone is a nod to their specialty in beverages, and just after your 3-5 dine time, you're more than welcome to start on a champagne or two. With bars closing earlier these days, we think it wouldn't hurt to start your drinking just a little earlier in the evening.

The Atlas Tea Selection Set is available from $56 a person, and the Prestige Tea Selection Set is $60 a person.
