Chug, chug, chug
What qualifies as a craft beer? Well, down at The Brewer's Association in Boulder, Colorado, craft beer is defined as beer made by a brewer that is small, independent and traditional. Our definition? Exclusive, innovative, and often always a pleasant surprise with every chug. Might we also add, craft beers typically feature hipster graphic art to sum up the whole artisanal package.
If you're looking for the ideal bar to get your craft beer fix, look no further — we scoured our sunny island and knocked back one too many drinks only to find these swanky drinking holes. Bottoms up! We're so pumped for the weekend.
Little Island Brewing Co.
This obscure operation is all about self-sufficiency, which we render as efficiency — the huge 270-seater industrial chic microbrewery prides itself on self-service and a self-pour philosophy, powered by a stored-value card available for purchase by the bar. Simply head over to one of their cool concrete counters and pour yourself a pint of their original brews, which are usually churned out in small batches on site. Concocted by Stephen Spinney, an award-winning British brew master, their tap offerings include a pale ale that sparks a citrusy malt finish, and a dry Irish stout tagging a dark, chocolately aroma along with it. The beer grub here is just as mouthwatering — try their mean 15-hour smoked beef brisket, served with truffle balsamic sauce on the side.

The neon-lit "No Strangers Here" sign is the first thing you'll see when you walk into Freehouse — an ode to the establishment's name as it doesn't tie itself to just one brewery. Instead, you'll find several prominent craft beers from New Zealand, Australia, the US and UK. Vibes here are cool and moody, while boasting a wide array of choices that will entrap the hearts of thirsty millennials. Expect to strike gold with Wellington's Yeastie Boys PKB remix 2015 Dark Matta, essentially a floral Earl Grey Porter, and Sweden's Dugges Coconut Grove, which is a sour quencher for those who love their wild ales. Hungry for something guilt-inducing? Pair your ice-cold pint with their famous Cereal Frog Legs; after all, it's treat yo'self day.

1925 Brewing Co.
We all love a good family business story, especially when its offspring involves a good assortment of earthy tipples, brewed in-house. Opened by two brothers who have made beer an endearing tradition in their family, it's easy to feel right at home here. The ambience of 1925 Brewing Co. is rustic and effortlessly charming — think peeled-off walls and wood-grained furniture. One of their staples, Blk 622 Dark Ale, pays a tribute to the HDB block in which the brothers' grandfather resided in, and features a rich, hearty body along a tinge of chocolate notes. Coffee lovers can also rejoice in their Manuka Stout, brewed with robust notes of coffee alongside a pleasant sweetness from Manuka honey. We call this one bittersweet at its best.
